The Magic Wand is meant to be taken up the climb with you. At only 110g, you won't even notice it while you're climbing!
Other stick clips require force through the stick to release the carabiner, which only heavier and bulkier sticks can withstand. The Magic Wand's use of self-releasing carabiners sidesteps this issue and allows for the lightest possible system.
